Baby Fever

So last weekend I had the pleasure of feeling Ms. Tatum Hope, shall we say "roll", for the first time and it was incredible. Bobby's sister, Morgan is expecting and the whole fam is sooo excited. She's due October 19th but I have a feeling she will be earlyyy!! My guess was Oct 17th so we will see. Ever since the baby shower and all the excitement of the first grandchild for Bobby's family I  have had, you guessed it - baby fever. Ahhh! Okay I know, I know, first comes love, then comes MARRIAGE, THEN comes the baby in the baby carriage. Robert Jack needs to get on the bandwagon with step 2, I'm workin on it ;) Well I've been pinning random baby things....specifically how I would design the nursery if it was a boy or girl. Or options if we wanted to wait and be surprised of the sex. haha every possible outcome....which reminds me the possiblity of Twins. I would like to have at least 3 kids, 4 would be ideal but I think after having 3 watermelons pushed out I'm gonna be dunzo. It would be awesome to have twins, kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Ha. It is a possibility since my dad is a twin and I think it skips a generation. Anywho, I guess time will tell. I"m so anxious for the future the next 5 years will be full of a lot of changes I'm so excited!! I got the college part down, the job part down, the dog part down, buy my own car and be able to support myself part down, the boyfriend part down ;), now onto the BIG things. Marriage, moving??, buy a house, babies! If you know me you know my life has been full of lists. Everything from birthday party agendas, grocery lists, classes, pros and cons lists, things to get done this weekend, etc etc. So it makes sense that I have a list for the bigs things in life. Slowly checking them off and I can see the really big things are just around the corner. Pretty exciting if you think about it :)
Here's a few pics I found for nurseries I love!

San Antone!

April 4-6, 2013
Bobby and I "bon voyaged" to San Antonio, TX this past weekend for a quick weekend getaway. I kept saying it was time for just us to take a trip,  not visiting family, friends, or meeting up with a group. Just us. Doing what we wanted to do. And that we did :) First day Thursday we arrived in San Antonio around 2 pm and were able to check into our 3 star hotel Best Western Alamo Suites early. Now you would think a hotel with the name "alamo" in it's name would be near the Alamo. Nope. Far from it. I should have done my research a little more but we got a great deal on it and it really ended up being not too bad. We ended up with 3 king size beds in our "suite" lol. I was like where the hell was this style hotel room growing up? Too many family trips with all 5 of us and 2 queen size beds...one person having to sleep on a cot or on the floor. We didnt spend too long at the hotel wanted to go check out San Antonio's hot spot-- The Riverwalk! Had to ask the front desk lady if it was safe to walk from our hotel to downtown. I got a weird look but she assured us it was okay. Anyway about 25 min later we finally found the river:) Yes we were the typical tourists on the counter, folding out our map, looking at the street signs trying to figure out where the hell we were! ha ha. We, well Bobby, was starving, and my friend Kandice had recommended Casa Rio as a good place to eat! Well here we are...

Margarita was a must!

Next, we hopped on the Rio Cruise tour and learned a little more about the history of San Antonio. This was probly one of my more fave parts of the trip. Loved our tour guide and loved the architecture of all the buildings. I think the first day we were super overwhelmed because theres so much going on, you don't know where all the best spots are to see with limited time. We went to see the Alamo next, that was pretty awesome. Just this little old building set in the middle 20 story hotels, skyscrapers, busy streets, and sidewalks. It was definitely a little glimpse of history. We got a tour and some good pics in front of it:)
We did a little shopping at the RiverCenter Mall, got some tanktops-WOW! Summer is coming! And made our way back to the hotel...Like an idiot I wore flip flops so my feet were killing me by the end of the day. We did our Insanity workout via laptop (yes we're diehards) It's really Bobby who's the motivating one. Just relaxed and looked over pics and brochures for the next day and called it a night.

Our tour guide and the Tower Life building behind

Day 2--started out a little rough. Siri told me to take a LEFT out of our hotel driveway. Ummm hello ONE WAY. I drove like 5 blocks before I said Something isn't right here? IS THIS A ONE WAY? HOLY SHIT. Whipped a left into a parking lot and grabbed my phone and was like what the hell is going on Siri? She shoulda told me to take a right, not a left. Anyway the roads down there were so screwy, no such thing as a 4 way intersection. They were all like 8 way intersections. Well Seaworld opened at 10 am and we were parked and in line with tickets by 9:30! Ms. Organization here. I felt like a little kid again, finally fulfilling my dream of going to Sea World and seeing a killer whale for the first time!! We did all the shows-- Sea Lions, Killer Whales, and Beluga Whales/ dolphins, also toured all the aquariums saw the Penguins!, gators, and flamingoes. I was a little disappointed at the Shamu show. Like halfway thru they all just kinda stopped doing tricks and the music kept going. The trainer came out and said Like people, the whales can be a little moody. We have an alpha whale and when she doesn't want to cooperate neither do the rest. So I guess they all swam out to the back pool?! We were like wtf? After about 10 min they got em to come back and finish out the show but it was kinda cut short so I was sad. Still awesome to see a killer whale that close and it's just amazing the tricks they get them to do just by a hand signal.

The sea lions and seals were my 2nd favorite animals to watch. You could go and buy fish and feed them for $5 we didn't do it cuz you only got like 3 pieces--kind of a rip off. But there was one fat sea lion, cracked me up it would go to whoever had the fish and go "ORC, ORC, ORC" til they fed him. It was a huge hog lol. Then there was another one who kept splashing with his flipper, hoping ppl would give him treats. They were sooo cute, I totally want a seal now. Here's Fatty:

The food was outrageously priced for like a half sandwich at Sea World...so we saved our calories and $$ and went back down the to RiverWalk. Drove this time...see you don't make the same mistake twice. I say that but I again wore flip flops on day 2. I didn't want tan lines okay? We ate at RIO RIO this time. I have to say the food was better at this place, but I liked the margarita at Casa Rio better :)

Had to take one of the legendary umbrellas at Casa Rio (oldest restaurant on the river) They were the first ones to give river cruises, on gondolas.
We packed a lot in Day 2, we also walked through and did some souvenir shopping, took a lot more pics, and walked thru a beautiful park and went up to the Tower of the Americas!! 622 feet tall.
I had an amazing time on vacation with my baby  <3 It was a quick trip, but so beautiful to see this ancient city and learn about all the history of the Alamo and the United States. We will definitely be back :) Here's some more of my favorite pictures from the trip:

San Fernando's Cathedral

I love Bobby Kyle Jack.

It happens in the blink of an eye. One moment you're enjoying your life, and the next you're wondering how you ever lived without them.
That's how I feel about this boy :) He makes me the happiest girl in the world.

Just a Dream

9:21 a.m.
Just woke up from one of the most outrageous dreams I've ever had. So I'm listening to Just a Dream -Nelly (standard) and reciting what I can remember...don't judge. My family (mom dad Austin and Lexi) came to see me in Oklahoma. My dad drove a straight 16 hours here he said...not even sure if thats possible. My sister then was like I have to work at 3 p.m. tomorrow and it was 3 p.m. then.,..I was like well you'll have to leave at 11 pm. tonight to make it on time..that gives us 8 hours what do you wanna do? LOL (this is hilarious because it's always my sister who we call Last Minute Lexi to notify us of details such as oh I have to work in an hour, or wait I forgot my phone 3 miles down the road, or Dad I ran out of gas for the 3rd time etc) anyway We had plans to go to the OKC zoo.  So I drove ahead in my Impala and they followed behind in the Vibe. On I 40 somehwere all of a sudden in the oncoming lanes there was a white car with guy on top just driving like 25 mph, shoooting all the cars in our lanes. We all pulled over and I climbed out into the ditch...seemed liek a good idea since everyone else was doing the same. As I tried to climb to the ditch and slither my way across the hot pavement I had to dodge oncoming cars from running me over! I remember covering my head with my hand and hoping that at least my brain would be protected. I got into the ditch somehow but the guys in the white car saw me. They aimed and shot me up the back, it didnt hurt that much kind of like a dull numbing feeling. They say you don't feel pain in dreams and I think thats definitely true, but I wouldnt know what being shot with a gun feels like so can't verify that.  They came over to my side and grabbed me and dragged me into their car. When we got to wherever we were going one of the guys started to talk to me and he was actually really nice. For some reason I was strapped into a wheelchair and he gave me some bright yellow crap -Riddalin he said it was. (Yeah my ass) and then told me he was going to shoot a syringe full of some Epinephrine into my leg. I asked him if it was gonna kill me and he said no but if might kill your heart. He turned his head to grab the syringe and I wiped half the Riddalin on the ground and then quick licked my hand of what was left. Clearly you could see the bright yellow blob on the ground where I had just wiped it! LOL this is hilarious as I"m thinking about it now because its my dream and those were the 2 worst drugs I could think of?? Riddalin and Epinephrine? REALLY? bahahah k so after he shot me with the syringe I don't remember too much. My heart started racing really fast and I got really shaky but thats about it...After it started to wear off I asked if we could go to the zoo and he agreed. He dropped me off at the front and went to park. As soon as he dropped me off I ran at the speed of lightning and found my mom. I yelled SOMEONES AFTER ME!  and we immediately got the zoo security to help us out. The end. I don't know if we caught him but seriously, wtf...

June 10, 2011 Happiness

Today is the happiest I have felt in a long time. I feel invincible, like I could climb Mt. Everest or swim to Europe or walk on fire. Okay just kidding, not that invincible. But I really am just happy happy happyyyy! Could be due to this cute boy I met and all the adventures  I've been having :), could be due to the fact I've lost 9 lbs since I've been here, 3% body fat and can run 4.5 miles without getting tired!, could be due to my grandma feeling better, could be due to me getting a roommate in a couple weeks!!! could be just a combination of everything and all of the above! I am just excited & thankful for each day. If there's anything I've learned this year it's been that life is just way too short. There's no use trying to rush the year and a half I have left in Oklahoma I mise well take each day as it comes, live in the moment, and not think too much about the future. I know everything's going to work out and I will end up exactly where I'm supposed to be. Anywho, I wanted to document how truly happy I was feeling at this moment right now and remember it. So there it is. Happiness. Everyone can see it but only you can feel it's warmth.

"Bag vs. Baaag"

I went to Wal-mart last night here in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Bought some pots and seeds because I'm going to try my hand at gardening, and because I got a bunch of free veggie plants at work. This could be interesting...but isn't the point of this post. Anywho, I ask the checkout girl if I could please have a bag? She responds "A WHAT?"
"A bag." -me
"I'm sorry I don't know what you're saying." -girl
"A baaagg. One of these" I physically point to plastic bag and say "Something you carry stuff in!"
She laughs. In my face. And says "You mean a bag?"
"Yeah, whatever. I'm from Wisconsin. I get made fun of on a daily basis for how I talk down here. Just need something to carry my stuff in."
"How do you say beg?" -girl
Does it matter?? I say "beg" like it's spelt. Duh.
She laughs again.
At this point I am getting pretty annoyed. "Can I please just have a bag and leave so I can stop getting made fun of."
She hands me a bag...FINALLY and I'm on my way. As I left I not only have a greater hatred towards Wal-mart and towards that girl but with the word bag in general. How many of us northerners say bag pronounced "bayg" and how many say "bag" with the A sound as in "apple"? And is it really that big of a deal? I think once you're over the age of 8 you should know some people say bag, and some say bag. Get over it. I don't make fun of you for "gripin" about your job, or pickin up laundry on a "Wiiiinsday", and my favorite "fixin" to go to the store. Or how bout all those towels that were on "sell"? You mean sale? I'm pretty sure sell is what they did so you could buy it. Anyway, I digress. It made me miss home even more and thought it quite rude of this Walmart girl. Oh she also had to add in "I have a friend from Montana! She says bag like you too. It's freezing up there!" I thought, where the hell are your geography skills girl? Montana is farther from Wisconsin than Oklahoma is. And if your friend said bag the same way then why'd you act so clueless? Dumb girl.
